We offer a termly programme of Education Matters Talks which are designed to be thought-provoking and reflect the exciting curriculum on offer at Kensington Wade.

Recent talks have been given by:

  • Professor Antonella Sorace, Professor of Developmental Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh on ‘Why two (or more) languages are better than one’
  • Dr Gary Savage, Head Master at Westminster School on ‘What children need to know about the world to prepare them for the future’
  • Michael Wood, BBC presenter and author on ‘China’s greatest poet: the story of Du Fu’

Our next Education Matters Talk will be held on Tuesday 7th February at 6.30pm by Faith Hagerty, Head of More House on ‘Creative Thinking for a Changing World’. As a passionate believer in the power of the arts, Faith will talk about the importance of creative thinking in schools. She will discuss the creative curriculum employed at More House, as well as analysing arts subjects as facilitators, focusing on the way in which art, music and drama cultivate emotional intelligence, empathy and self confidence, all vital skills in our changing world.
