At Kensington Wade we believe that a bustling and thriving parent community is the foundation for any happy, successful school. The parents at Kensington Wade are a diverse yet close-knit group who have enthusiastically embraced bilingual education and have created a very welcoming and inclusive environment for all parents.
Every parent automatically joins the ‘Friends of Kensington Wade’ on entry to the school and the core of the Friends community comprises the Chairs and Class Representatives who have volunteered their time to serve the school community.
This group acts as a link between parents and the school for any relevant ideas and feedback and it also actively organises cultural, educational, social and fundraising events. Most importantly, the Friends of Kensington Wade are committed to supporting the learning and development of their children in the best possible way.
The Friends of Kensington Wade have previously organised some fantastic events and activities which have brought the parent community closer as well as raising money for the school’s chosen charities. These events have included the Kensington Wade Bake Off and a Chinese New Year Celebration Lunch. They also organise regular social evenings, picnics and get-togethers where the children and parents have the opportunity to socialise.
