At Kensington Wade, we believe that some of the most powerful learning happens when children are immersed in nature. Today is the first of this year’s weekly Forest School sessions for our Reception class at the Holland Park Ecology Centre, one of London’s most vibrant urban green spaces.
Forest School is a child-led outdoor education programme that supports holistic development. It encourages children to explore, take risks, and build confidence through hands-on experiences in natural environments.

Located close to us in West London, the Holland Park Ecology Centre provides a safe and stimulating environment for Forest School. With access to woodland trails, wildlife habitats, and seasonal flora, it’s the perfect place for our children to connect with nature while still being close to school.
Our children attend Forest School in various weather conditions, so appropriate clothing is essential. We recommend:
