ISA – Chinese New Year at the UK’s only Mandarin-English school

This week, hundreds of Londoners celebrate the Chinese New Year at a school in the capital that is the only one in the UK to teach all subjects in Mandarin and English.

Kensington Wade’s week of celebrations includes Chinese percussion workshops with internationally acclaimed musician Beibei Wang, traditional Chinese calligraphy, dumpling making, and Dragon and Lion dances.

Huw May, Head of Kensington Wade, said: “Our Chinese New Year celebrations have captivated our children and all our community. We’ve enjoyed the colourful lion dance and also learnt calligraphy and how to make dumplings.
